Elizabeth Gallen Bray

Mrs. Elizabeth Gallen Bray, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 18, 1923 in Rock Hill, SC to Joseph V. and Juanita Crow Gallen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Adolphus Bray; and a brother, Joseph V. Gallen, Jr. Surviving are two sons, David B. Rierson and wife Lucymary of Lewisville and Phillip W. Rierson of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Niki Kale and husband Kip, Michelle Adkins and husband Garry, Steven P. Rierson and Phillip J. Rierson; three great grandchildren, Peyton, Lily and Molly; a sister, Genevieve Rabil and husband Ernest; and a special friend, Pearl Stanford. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at St. Leo's Catholic Church with Father Brian Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Kate B.
