Elizabeth Grace Dittmyre

Elizabeth Grace Dittmyre, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 18, 2013. Elizabeth was born August 13, 1930 to William McDowall and Elizabeth Logan McDowall in Kearny, NJ. Elizabeth was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for local doctors in Kearny where she and her husband, Harry raised their family. She lovingly crocheted blankets for many newborn babies in the community. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Harry Dittmyre; and two sons, William and Robert Dittmyre. Survivors include her son, Bruce Dittmyre (Jilla); daughter, Laurie Bonilla (Carlos); grandchildren, Christine, John, and Lauren; as well as a sister-in-law, Selina Wait (George). A funeral service will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Mr. James Beatty and Mr. Jerry Isaacs officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM and from 6:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Christian Missionaries In Many Lands, CMML, Inc. P.O. Box 13, Spring Lake, NJ 07762-0013; or to the Alzheimer's Assn. A private, family graveside service will be held Friday at Parklawn Memorial Park.
