Elizabeth Shoaf Kiger

Mrs. Elizabeth Shoaf Kiger, age 76 of Rural Hall went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Kiger was born in Davidson County, March 6, 1937 to Druid Wheeler and Beatrice Beulah Myers Shoaf. She was a member of Jefferson Church of Christ in Rural Hall, a member of the Adult Fellowship Class and the Young at Heart. Mrs. Kiger enjoyed singing and providing for her family. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She will always be remembered and forever loved.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Kiger was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald McCall Shoaf. Mrs. Kiger is survived by her husband of 54 years of marriage, Ernest Kiger of the home; two daughters: Lisa Ann Kiger of Rural Hall and Cherri (Brad) Sutphin of Pfafftown; one son, Jack (Dana Jo) Kiger of Rural Hall; three grandchildren: Joshua Ernest (Tabitha) Kiger, Caleb Levi Kiger and Natasha (David) Donovan; four sisters: Patty Swicegood, Jean Leonard, June Booze and Judy Knox; two brothers: Bobby (Geraldine) Shoaf and Johnny (Jean) Shoaf; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kiger will be conducted Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Church of Christ in Rural Hall by Jerry Simpkins, Minister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening February 16th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
