Elizabeth Bumgardner Spaugh

KERNERSVILLE- Elizabeth Louise Bumgardner Spaugh passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Nov. 19, 2014. She was born to Robert N. Bumgardner and Ollie Myers Bumgardner on Dec. 4, 1923 in Forsyth County. A dedicated RJR employee, she retired from the company in 1986 with more than 40 years of service. She belonged to Trinity Moravian Church where she was lovingly known as ""Mom."" She was active with Sunnyside Club and Clinic, as well as Senior Friends, and was a member of the Ollie Perryman Sunday school class. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin H. Spaugh; and a sister, Mildred Inez Brown. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy; 3 sisters, Irene Bumgardner, Lorene Bowman, and Doris Baity; and also her chosen family which she loved very much. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Trinity Moravian Church with Pastor Russell Williams and Pastor John Jackman officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Moravian Church, 220 E.
