Elizabeth Teague

Mrs. Elizabeth Phelps Teague, born on January 28, 1922 and the daughter of Flora Bell Phelps left her earthly life for her heavenly home on December 13, 2017. She married John Angier Teague Jr. on May 25, 1939. John Angier was killed on February 7, 1944 in World War II. They had two children and although their marriage was brief, they shared a deep love. John Angier's family accepted Elizabeth and their two children into their large and loving family. Those left in this family to cherish her memory are three sisters-in-law, Virginia Pickler, Joey Teague and Lynn Teague along with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Mrs. Teague worked in retail sales at Davis Department Store, Thalhimer's and Hecht's Department Store before retiring. She was preceded in death by her mother; husband; her son Steve Teague; son-in-law Ed Gregory and a sister Ellen Sain. Survivors include her daughter, Johnny Sue Teague Gregory; a sister, Estelle Smith; four grandchildren, Edward Gregory, Jr. (Becky), Kenneth C. Gregory (Janice), Angie Buchanan (Mark) and Scott Harris (Lucinda); seven great grandchildren, Jessie Teague, Dylan Hines (Miranda), Leslie Howe (Brian), Clay Gregory, Hannah, Lindsey and Abigail Harris; four great great grandchildren, Dakota Teague, Kinsley Hines and Brayden and Kaylee Howe. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Rick Page officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
