Ella Mae Pierce

Miss Ella Mae Pierce passed away March 20, 2014 at Bermuda Village Retirement Center. She was born in Forsyth County to Thurman and Myrtle Pierce. After retiring from Sears with 40 years plus service, she spent most of her time at her Wilmington Beach residence. Ella Mae was a wonderful, compassionate person always wanting to help other people. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Thurman O. Pierce, Jr.; nephew, Gray Pierce; and a beloved brother-in-law, Gerald G. Holcomb. She is survived by her sister, Violet Holcomb; niece, Deborah Larrimore and husband, Tommy; nephews, Dexter Pierce and wife, Becky; Bryan Pierce and wife, Kathy; a great niece, Stephanie Pierce; a great nephew, Spencer Pierce; and a sister-in-law, Thomasine Pierce Norman and husband, Vernon. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 1-2:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 2:30 pm.
