Ella Tester

Mrs. Ella Mae Wilson Tester, 81, passed away March 20, 2018 at Whitestone Masonic and Eastern Star community. She was born July 14, 1936 in Watauga County to the late Luther Alexander Wilson and Ina Grace Eggers Wilson. She was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church in Kernersville. Mrs. Tester retired from Guilford County Public Schools with over 20 years of service in the cafeteria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles Tester; a sister, Dare Harrison and a brother, Jim Wilson. Mrs. Tester is survived by her sons, Charles E. (Dianne) Tester of High Point, Robert G. (Charlene) Tester of Colfax, Joe (Robin) Tester of High Point, and Mike (Jacqueline) Tester of Gibsonville; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Sue, Martha Ann, Mary Lou, Ruth and Jean. The family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2018 at 12:30 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at Sunlight Baptist Church in Kernersville with Pastor Jeremy Anderson and Dr. Don Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Charles and Dianne Tester. The Tester family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Whitestone Care and Wellness Center for their compassion and care shown to Mrs. Tester.
