Ella Weatherman

Mrs. Ella Mae Bowers Weatherman, 83, of Lewisville passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 6, 1934, in Wilkes County to Robert Laude and Etta Jane Hutchinson Bowers. Ella Mae retired from Western Electric with 34 years of service. She was a lifelong faithful member of Linville Forest Church of Christ and was blessed with a very loving and supportive church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Billy Gray Weatherman; five sisters, Genevea Bowers, Mabel Nicholson, Nova Potts, Della Bowers, Grace Foust, and Marzell Price; and three brothers, Clay Bowers, Elmer Bowers, and Gar Bowers. Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Weatherman Blocker and husband Ken of Durham; son, Greg Weatherman and wife Melanie of Lewisville; and several loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Linville Forest Church of Christ with Minister Kelly Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Linville Forest Church of Christ, 450 Linville Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284 or Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, Hospice Palliative Carecenter, Kindred at Home, and Vienna Fire Department Station 21 for their compassionate and loving care of Mrs. Weatherman.
