Ellen Dell Doss Jenkins

JENKINS WALKERTOWN, Mrs. Ellen Dell Doss Jenkins, 54, of Kelsey Dr. passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a period of declining health. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Forsyth on October 28, 1954 the daughter of Jenell Hensley Doss and the late Billy Edward Doss. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and had been a waitress at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Oldtown. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Phillip Doss. Surviving is her husband John Henry Jenkins of the home, a son Mark David Spence, II of Mrytle Beach, SC, her mother Jenell H. Doss of Winston-Salem and a sister Becky Bowen and husband Glenn of Tobaccoville and her two special K-9 friends nicki and Bookie A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Darrell Fulp officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The Jenkins family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
