Emerson Jackson Reich

Mr. Emerson Jackson Reich, 91, of Oak Island, NC, formerly of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC. Mr. Reich was born in Forsyth County, NC on September 21, 1924, to the late Clarence Thomas Reich and Florence Duggins Reich. Emerson served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Reich was a co-owner of E. Jack Reich and Sons Construction Company. He was a member of Providence Moravian Church in Winston-Salem and Oak Island Presbyterian Church. Emerson was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge in both Clemmons, NC and Oak Island, NC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Reich was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Moser Reich; and three brothers, Clarence Thomas ""C.T."" Reich, Harold Dan Reich and Danny Thomas Reich. Mr. Reich is survived by two sons, Garry Reich and wife, Kim Isenhour of Winston-Salem and Mark Reich and wife, Jeanie of Burlington, NC; two grandsons, Emerson Lee Reich and wife, Elizabeth of Hampstead, NC and Nathan Thomas Reich of Burlington, NC; one great-grandchild, Addison Brooke Reich; his sister, Inez Reich Rule of Winston-Salem; and one uncle, Herbert ""Buster"" Reich of Lake Norman, NC. A celebration of Mr. Reich's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Providence Moravian Church with Rev. Robert M. ""Bob"" Peek, Sr. and Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends following the services in the church fellowship hall. A private burial service will be held in the church graveyard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Providence Moravian Church, 929 Old Hollow Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105 or Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Reich family.
