Emily Susan Brown Latchford

WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Emily Susan Brown Latchford, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Latchford was born on May 23, 1928 in Iredell County, NC to William A. Brown and Alice Mae Douglas Brown. She was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Latchford was employed by Northwestern Bank and AMP Inc.. She also volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association, Hope Chest. Mrs. Latchford was preceded in death by her husband, James Laird Latchford; her parents and one brother, Cecil A. Brown. Mrs. Latchford is survived by her two sons, James Allen Latchford (Judy) of St. Petersburg, FL and John G. Latchford of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Megan Latchford Morgan (Greg) of Chicago, IL and James R. White of St. Petersburg, FL; one step-grandson, Christopher Azure; two step-great-granddaughters, Trinity and Christine Azure; a sister, Shirley Holder (Bill) of Parrish, FL and Beach Mountain, NC; and one sister-in-law, Lona Brown of Albany, GA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Rennie Adcock officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
