Emory Garthright Cadd, Jr.

Emory Garthright Cadd Jr, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born on September 26, 1936, to the late Emory Garthright Cadd Sr. and Myrtle Marie Moore Cadd. A lifelong resident of Kernersville, North Carolina, Emory was known for his unwavering faith in the Lord and his genuinely friendly spirit—he never met a stranger, and once you met Emory, you were a friend for life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jo Ann Henley Cadd, and his sister, Barbara Jean Cadd Sellers.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucy; his sons, Brent (Leslie) and Drew (Dawn); Lucy's children, Shelley Mitchell and Louie Sullivan; his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a vast circle of friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at North Pointe Church, 5225 High Point Rd, High Point, NC, with Pastor Darrell Greene officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Interment will take place in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to North Pointe Church.
