WALNUT COVE-Era Louise Broadstreet Swaim Loflin, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 17, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 4, 1926 in Forsyth Co. to the late Dewey and Mamie Davis Broadstreet. Era was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was precede in death by her husband, Bascome Loflin; three sisters, JoAnn James, Margaret Young, and Barbara Jean Atkins; and two nephews, Anthony James and Stan Atkins. Surviving are her children, David Gerald Swaim and wife, Fay, Dennis Wayne Swaim and wife, Kaye, Daphne Swaim Garner and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Crystal Browning, Amy Swaim, Susan Baduria, Jeffrey Garner, and Sarah Mosteller; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Dillon; and a brother, Ray Broadstreet. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2013 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Kate B.
