Erma Long

Colfax - Erma Lee Dail Long, 94, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born on October 3,1923 in Beaufort, NC to the late Bonnie W. Dail and Georgia May Hudson. Erma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, William Wade Long; three brothers, James D., Bonnie W., Jr., and Robert Dail; and three sisters, Mildred D. Phelps, Irene D. Bass and Shirley D. Lewis.
Surviving are her sons, Richard M. Long (Xie) of Kernersville, and Joel C. Long of Ruffin; her daughters, Judith F. Long of Kernersville, and Mary Jane Racoma (Robert) of Hawaii; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Scott Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
