Erma Lee Nuckles

COLFAX-Another Child of God has been called home. Miss Erma Lee Nuckles, 70, passed from this life Monday, September 29, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, from heart failure after a short illness.

Erma, a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church and a native of Guilford County, was born April 29, 1944, the youngest daughter of the late Rev. Richard Omer and Ruby Estella Smith Nuckles.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James Drew (J.D.) Nuckles; and a sister, Helen Blake Nuckles both of Colfax.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are; one brother, Charles Raymond Nuckles (Mattie) of Colfax; three sisters, Maudean Nuckles of Colfax, Evelyn Mickey of Kernersville, and Grace Underhill (Ed) of Greensboro; one sister-in-law, Doris Nuckles of Colfax; 7 nieces and nephews; 11 grandnieces and nephews; and 1 great-grandnephew.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
