WHITWORTH
Mr. Ernest Eugene Whitworth, 66, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1947 in Forsyth County to John George and Maggie Rhodes Whitworth. Mr. Whitworth was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. Surviving are his loving wife of 36 years, Theresa Key Whitworth of Winston-Salem; two sons, Eric Whitworth of Winston-Salem and Jamie Floyd Whitworth (Crystal) of Winston-Salem, and four grandchildren Dalana , Katlyn , Nathan and Emma, two sisters, Marvis Whitworth and Edith Cook (Ivan) all of Winston-Salem; and his three beloved pets. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 8, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Erick Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
