Ernest P. Mcknight

Ernest P. McKnight, most currently residing in Louisville, CO died peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Born in April 1933 to Lona Belle and Ernest McKnight, Sr. of Winston-Salem, NC, Ernest was the proud brother of four siblings, Mary Ruth Fox of Winston-Salem, Thomas McKnight of Raleigh, Lona Henderson of Powhatan, VA (deceased), and Hugh M. McKnight of Lewisville, NC (deceased). Ernie, as known by all, exemplified patience, integrity, love, and kindness. He will be forever missed by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Rose Ring McKnight; daughter, Sarah McKnight Buch and son-in-law, Robert A. Buch of Lafayette, CO. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. A reception will be held following the service at an off-site location. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital are welcomed.
