Erwin Weidl

Winston-Salem- Mr. Erwin Weidl, 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Weidl was born in Germany to the late Rudolph Weidl and Margarete Schramek Weidl on January 15, 1937.  Erwin was one of the kindest people you could meet and said a lot in just a few words.  Erwin truly lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures like riding his bike and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens.  He most enjoyed working outside and spending time with his family.  Along with his parents Erwin was preceded in death by a brother Rudolf Weidl. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irmgard Waldraff Weidl; three sons, Mike Weidl and wife Julie, David Weidl and Robert Weidl and wife, Veronica; grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Elizabeth, McKenzie, Haylee, Laken Clark, Kash and Kyngston; great- grandchild, Leah Sink; sisters, Erika Deal, Helga Ziegler and Trudy Weidl; brother, Gunter Weidl. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with Father Brian Cook officiating.
