Ethel Parks Martin

Mrs. Ethel Parks Martin, 94, of Winston-Salem, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home while surrounded by her family. She was born January 27, 1922 in Yadkin County to Esther Nance Parks and Roy Parks. Mrs. Martin was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. A faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Orville C. Martin in 1996; her son, Rodney Lee Martin in 2004; three brothers and five sisters. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy M. Driskill (Doug) of Walkertown; a granddaughter, Stephanie Dawn Eads of New York and two great grandchildren, Chandler Hanson and Chase Hanson. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ed Sears officiating. There is no stated visitation.
