Eugene Arnold Booth

Kernersville – Mr. Eugene Arnold Booth passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1949, in Forsyth County to the late Carson Arnold Booth and Dorothy Alice Taylor. Arnold loved to travel, and to relax with his family in the mountains, at the beach and “piddle” in the yard on his tractor. He enjoyed meeting with the breakfast club at the Olympic Family Restaurant. He loved his family, he was a very loyal man, and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, his in laws; Pauline J. Thompson, and Dr. Richard Thompson, Jr. one sister, Janice Booth, one brother, Denny Booth and a brother-in-law, David R. Thompson. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lynne Booth, two children, James Booth (Lori), Jennifer Warren (Paul), two grandsons, two granddaughters, Aunt Faye George and Aunt Trilby Walker, two nephews, Scott and Russell Booth, sisters in law; Anne Thompson Bryant, Betty Sharpe Thompson, and Nancy R. Booth, brothers in law; Tony Bryant and Paul M. Thompson, two nieces; Meghan Bryant McDevitt, and McKenzie Bryant McCulloh. 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 19, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Jerry Whiteheart officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
