Eula Smith

Eula Davis Smith, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her home. Eula was born March 30, 1927 in Independence, VA to John Henry and Carrie Shore Davis. She was a member of Love's United Methodist Church. After retiring from Hanes Knitting with 30 years of service, Eula continued a 28-year career with Budd Services before her second retirement.
In addition to her parents, Eula was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey William Smith; and nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sisters, Lorraine Sturgill of Sparta and Lucille Blum of Rustburg, VA; along with several nieces and nephews. "Granny Smith" was especially loved by her little Henry.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Love's United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Updyke officiating.
Memorials may be made to Love's United Methodist Church- General Fund, 3020 Main St, Walkertown, NC 27051. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
