Eunice Katherine Gray

Mrs. Eunice Katherine “Kathy” Fowler Gray, 94, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  She was born March 17, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late George Fowler and Lucille Bullington Fowler.  Mrs. Gray was an active member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Greensboro.  She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.  Mrs. Gray was very caring and compassionate towards others, and had a tremendous love for her friends and family.  She lived a very active life until her declining health.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, watching her beloved Atlanta Braves and ACC Basketball games, playing bingo and card games, and was an avid bowler.  Mrs. Gray loved flowers, shopping, crafting, and jewelry making.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Fore; second husband, Ralph Gray; and nine siblings.  She is survived by her daughter, Delores “Dee” Hutcherson and husband, Joe; grandson, Todd Hutcherson and wife, Vickie; granddaughter, Sherri Chambers and husband, Derek; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Brock Chambers.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Steve Tucker officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Brighton Gardens for the loving care given to Mrs. Gray.
