Eva Buchenauer Hammaker

Eva Buchenauer Hammaker, 92, of Pfafftown, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Vienna Village Assisted Living.

Mrs. Hammaker was born July 23, 1933, in Oberlin, Pennsylvania, to Peter Buchenauer and Agnes Wilhent Buchenauer. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Loy Hammaker; one son, Robert L. Hammaker Jr.; and seven siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Doug Hammaker (Melicent) and Jeff Hammaker (Kim); one daughter, Donna Gronewoller (Dave); thirteen grandchildren, Heather (Ashley), Joshua (Kayla), Luke (Heather), Hannah, Jordan (Bruce), Megan, Alyssa, Joseph, Brendyn (Stephanie), Nathan (Aly), Brian (Morgan), Keith (Suzanna), and Ashley (Davey); and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Fraternity Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Ansley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
