Evalina McCuiston Schmidt

Mrs. Evalina McCuiston Schmidt ""Mimi"", 82, of Lewisville, went home to her Heavenly Father, October 28, 2016. She was born in Surry County on May 13, 1934 to Clarence and Fronie Belton McCuiston. Mrs. Schmidt was one of the first female real estate agents in Winston-Salem where she was active for 48 years. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church for 50 years where she spent many years singing in the choir. Her aspiration and hope for her life was to spend more time to help guide her daughter, grandchildren, and great granddaughter throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Mickey, Jerry, and Dennis. Surviving are her husband, Mike Schmidt, a daughter Cyndi Bundy, four grandchildren Perry, Taylor, Rachael, and Michael, one great-granddaughter Emerson ""Emmie"", and her siblings Dorothy ""Dot"", Dorene, James Clarence ""JC"" and Brenda. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 1:00pm at Highland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy Harris and Rev. Debbie Layman officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour immediately prior to the service at the church. A reception will immediately follow the funeral service. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Service Silas Creek Chapel is serving the Schmidt family.
