Evan Anthony Thomas, 20, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his home. Evan was born on Nov. 8, 1998 in Harrisburg, PA, but spent his life growing up in Winston-Salem. Evan was a naturally gifted artist, writer, and chef. He had a great sense of humor, enjoying nothing more than making friends and family laugh with his many anecdotes. Through all the trials and tribulations of his young life, he never stopped trying to make people smile. Evan was preceded in death by David “Old Granddaddy” Clepper and Joseph “Pappy” LaCarter. He is survived by his parents, Megan and Bradford Thomas; his sister, Claudia Thomas; his grandmother, Jill LaCarter; and pets, “She ne ne” and “Floyd”, all of Winston-Salem; and grandparents, Paul and Cathy Thomas of Columbus, OH. A Celebration of Evan’s Life will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Family and friends will share memories and stories at 7:00 PM.
