Evelyn Hester Fulp, 98, of Walkertown passed away on July 12, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC
A native of Forsyth County, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Alvah Seivers Hester and Harvey R. Hester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Fulp and sister, Mildred Hester Sell. Surviving are her daughter, Kay Fulp of Greensboro, son, Jim Fulp of Walkertown, and grandchildren Annie, Chris and Katie Fulp.
Evelyn was an active member of Oak Grove Moravian Church. She served as a president of the Women's Fellowship, was a member of Circle #1, sang in the choir and worked in the nursery.
Evelyn worked at Hanes Hosiery, and then at Western Electric. She last worked at Oakcrest Florist with her longtime friend, Betty Seivers for over 20 years.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing cards, shopping, being with friends and playing the piano. Evelyn was an excellent seamstress and she liked to arrange flowers.
A celebration of her life will be held at Oak Grove Moravian Church at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 with Brother David Berrier officiating. The burial will follow in the church graveyard. A visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall after the burial.
