Evelyn Foster Hunter

Mrs. Evelyn Foster Hunter, the widow of Charles Eugene Hunter, of Advance went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 14, 2014. She was born in Winston-Salem on December 18, 1932 to Cecil Eugene and Geneva Hearn Foster who preceded her in death. She was retired from RJR Tobacco with 32 years of service. She was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church in Advance where she had been active in many phases of church life. She is preceded in death by one brother Andrew R. Manuel. She leaves behind her much loved children and their spouses; Richard Hughes, Jr. (Debra) of Advance, Mark E. Hughes (Karen) of Kernersville and Debbie H. Mishue (Eddie) of Clemmons. She also leaves five very special grandchildren, Rick Hughes, III (Laura), Chris and Brandon Hughes, Ashley Marshall (Travis) and Trey Mishue. She also has four great-grandchildren, Patrick and Audrey Hughes and Kinsley and Caleb Marshall. She is survived by a step-son, Ricky E. Hunter (Renee) and two step-grandchildren, Rich and Brittany Hunter and a step-great-granddaughter, Lila Hunter and one brother, Donald E. Foster (Judy) of Winston-Salem, several nieces and nephews and many friends and her beloved kitty, Huey. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Macedonia Moravian Church by Rev. Jeff Carter. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Moravian Church or to a charity of the donor's choice. Mrs. Hunter's family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers from Hospice, especially Brittany, Shannon and Sarah.
