Evelyn Jones Marlin

Mrs. Evelyn Jones Marlin, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1924 to David C. and Lucille Tomlinson Jones. Mrs. Marlin was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church where she sang as a soloist. Surviving are her husband, Glenn A. Marlin of the home; one daughter, Sandi Godfrey (Bill) of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Robert Bruce Boughman, Jr. (Christy) of Kernersville and Christopher Marlin Boughman (Amanda) of Winston-Salem and two great grandchildren, Michele Boughman and Christopher Charles Boughman. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 1, 2009 at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Dr. Earl Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
