Everett Monroe Davis, 31, of Winston-Salem, NC, died unexpectedly on July 26, 2025. Born on July 16, 1994, Everett lived a life of sacrificial love, selfless service, steadfast loyalty, virtuous character, abiding faith in Jesus Christ, and humble faithfulness to Christ’s church. Everett was a treasured member of Trinity Church (PCA) in Winston-Salem, where he gathered regularly to worship the Lord, rehearsed and clung to the good news of the gospel, received the ministry of the word, and offered himself as a blessed gift to others. Everett’s grand hope and comfort was, in the words of the Heidelberg Catechism, “That I am not my own, but belong with body and soul, both in life and in death, to my faithful Savior Jesus Christ.” Therefore, with sorrow and hope, we entrust him to the God to whom he belongs, into the very hands that were pierced for him in love, until we join him in the presence of the Lord of glory.
On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Fear not, O Zion;
let not your hands grow weak.
The LORD your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zephaniah 3:16–17)
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21:3–5)
Everett is survived by his wife, Abi Davis; his mother, Kathy Davis; his sister, Mary Katherine Davis; many loving uncles, aunts, in-laws, and cousins; and his adoring nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons, NC on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., with a graveside ceremony to follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations may be made in Everett’s honor to the Mercy Fund of Trinity Church (PCA), 4555 Shattalon Drive, Winston-Salem, NC, 27106.
