Ezra Lee Conrad Jr

When Ezra Lee Conrad, Jr. entered his Savior's more immediate presence on Sunday, June 11, 2017, we lost our hero. Ezra was born August 14, 1929 in Forsyth County to the late Ezra Lee Conrad, Sr. and Faith Fultz Conrad. He married Evelyn Jones in 1949 and worked 40 years for Western Electric/AT&T, retiring in 1989. He loved making memories by traveling the world with Evelyn, playing with his grandchildren, and creating toys and furniture in his woodshop. Ezra held many titles: He was husband to wife, Evelyn J. Conrad for 68 years; Daddy to daughters, Marsha C. Cochran and husband, Tommy and Joyce C. Gibson and husband, William; and Granddaddy to grandchildren, April Shelton (Ronnie), Michael Gibson (Shannon), and Becky Cochran and to great-granddaughters, Sydney and Sadie Shelton. In addition to his parents, Ezra was preceded in death by his sisters, Fernanda Summerlin and Gwin Constable Nunn. A private graveside service will be conducted at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Pastor Aaron Linville officiating.
