Fannie Bowden Cooper

Mrs. Fannie Bowden Cooper, 94, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Village Care of King. She was born on May 3, 1919 in Forsyth Co. the daughter of the late Thomas Jacob Bowden and Irene Westmoreland Bowden. Mrs. Cooper was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co with 37 ½ years of service and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Cooper, seven sisters, Bessie Bowden, Della Hall, Mary Southern, Louise Spaugh, Ruth Boglioli, Margaret Burrow and Sarah Lawson and three brothers, Fred Bowden, Henry Bowden and Dennis Bowden. Mrs. Cooper is survived by two special sisters-in-law, Betty Wilson and Della Bowden; and a special caregiver, Renee Hall and husband Greg. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor David Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Pleasant View Baptist Church, 1206 Pleasant View Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
