Faye Hartness

Kernersville - Faye Daniels Hartness, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Faye was born on April 10, 1929 in Iredell County to Flake Columbus and Martha Southers Daniels. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and loved gardening, sewing, and cooking, but especially loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wilburn Hartness; her son, Terry Hartness; four brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Hartness (Shelia) of Yadkinville and Rickey Hartness, Sr. (Donna) of Walkertown; a daughter-in-law, Cecelia Hartness of Kernersville; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Grady Daniels; and two sisters, Ruth Creedmore and Marie Cheek.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church, 890 Walkertown Guthrie Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or a charity of donor's choice.
