Fleta Bryant Myers

Mrs. Fleta Malline Bryant Myers, 92, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born June 1, 1924 in Surry County to the late Vena Hunt Bryant and Daniel Franklin Bryant. Mrs. Myers was a member of Friendly Chapel Church. She worked in Food Preparation and retired from Surry County School System. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert Lee Myers; two daughters, Patsy Myers Collins and Darlene Myers Arnder; two grandchildren, Dennis Collins and Tonya Collins; sister, Geneva Bryant Stewart; and four brothers: Arlyss, Aubrey, Omer, and Odell Bryant. She is survived by three grandchildren: Penny Renee Collins Freeman (Jim), Michelle Victoria Arnder, and Millard Ray Arnder; and fourteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 noon Monday, September 26, at Friendly Chapel Church with Bro. Don Collins officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Whitakers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
