Flora Wilkerson

Flora Christine Wilkerson, 92, of Winston-Salem passed away August 8, 2018. She was born in Raleigh, NC, the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Wilkerson, Sr. and Flora Layne Wilkerson. She moved to Winston-Salem in 1943 and was employed with Hanes Hosiery Mill for 43 years. She was a member of Forsyth Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Montgomery and Bertha Horton; two brothers, Joseph Lee Wilkerson, Jr. and James E. Wilkerson. She is survived by nephews, Richard Lee Wilkerson of Lynchburg, VA, Marvin Lee Wilkerson (Anne) of Greenville, NC; and niece, Ann Wilkerson Hemby (Donny) of Greenville, NC. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Bishop officiating. Arrangements are with Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek.
