Florence Inez Snow Robbins

Florence Inez Snow Robbins, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1928 in Forsyth County to Walter Bryant and Mandy Hawks Snow. Ms. Robbins was retired from Forsyth Medical Center with 21 years of service. She took on the maternal role of raising her grandsons, Michael and Dennis. She was a loving, caring, and giving person, known as 'Nanny' by the people who loved her. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, picking four leaf clovers with her granddaughter, playing Chinese checkers, and spending time with her great grand babies. She was always so generous with whatever she had. We love you so much nanny and we will miss you greatly. We will see you soon. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Surviving are two sons, Bobby Ray Robbins (Martha) and Boyd Gray Robbins (Mary); three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Michael Robbins (Leesa) and their child Addison, Dennis Robbins and his children, Autumn and Jenna, Adrienne Robbins Hill (Gray) and their children, Davis and Ashton; one brother, Coy Snow; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Ricky Hamann officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
