Floyd O'Brien

Floyd Charles "Bink" O'Brien passed away peacefully at his home on October 1st, 2017, in Pfafftown, North Carolina at the age of 86. Floyd was born on February 16th, 1931 in Independence, Iowa to T.E. and Leila O'Brien. He moved to North Carolina in 1986. Floyd touched many people over the years with his warm smile, loving heart and sense of humor. He proudly served in the Korea Army Signal Corps,1951-52. He will be remembered fondly by many. Floyd is survived by his wife Nancy of sixty-one years; their children, Tracy (Sandra) O'Brien and Megan (Eddy Thompson) O'Brien; three grandchildren, Christina and Michelle O'Brien and Jarred Kern. He is also survived by two brothers, Patrick and Dick O'Brien and one sister, Darlene Beatty. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; his son Mark; brother, Harvey, and two sisters, Iva and Mary Lou. A memorial service will be held in Independence, Iowa in November, the date is yet to be determined.
