Mrs. Fotini Demopoulos Hamberis, 93, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday morning, April 28, 2017, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Fotini was born in Karitsa Evrytania, Greece on November 15, 1923 to the late Nick Demopoulos and Panayiota Javelis Demopoulos. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. Fotini will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Anestis A. Hamberis; a sister Penolope Athanasopoulos; and a brother Louka Demopoulos. Fotini is survived by a daughter Katina Kroustalis and husband Nick of Advance; a son Tom Hamberis and wife Stephanie of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren Sophia and husband Justen Hill, Stace, and Jackson Hamberis and Spyro wife Georgia, Faye and husband Dave Curry, and Stan Kroustalis and wife Anitra; two great grandchildren Nick and John Kroustalis; a sister Anthoula Meimarisand husband Angelo; two brothers Kosta Dimopoulos and Stavnos Dimopoulos and wife Stavroula. A Trisagion Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father Demetri Kangelaris officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Forsyth Memorial Park. A special thank-you to all of her caregivers for the past 18 months.
