Frances Huffine Price Cook

Mrs. Frances Huffine Price Cook, 89, of Kernersville died Friday, October 18, 2013 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born September 7, 1924 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Houston W. and Ruth Swaim Huffine. Mrs. Cook attended Elon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Price, her second husband, James Cook, her daughter, Sue Crater, her sister, Becky Foster and her special brother-in-law, Toad Foster her brother, Jack Huffine and her great nephew, Doug Jones. Survivors include three grandchildren, Karen Harrell and husband, Dale and Kevin Crater and wife, Dinene of Kernersville and Kathy Shaw of King. Eight great grandchildren, Coston, Caelan and Camren Harrell, Hannah, Abbey and Grace Crater and Cody and Chase Shaw; a special niece, Sandy Jones and husband, Ronnie, two great nephews, John and Eric Jones, a great great niece, Courtney Jones and two great great nephews, Gavin and Trevor Jones of Mt. Airy and her special son-in-law, Sam Crater and wife, Sherrill of Lexington. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Rick Meyer officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.
