Frances ""Skippy"" Englebright left this world to join her Savior in glory on March 5, 2017. She was an incredibly kind and caring person that welcomed others into her home with the intention of ministering to their needs. A graduate of Miami Edison High School, she studied cancer cytology at the Cancer Institute in Miami Florida and graduated in 1958 as a Cancer Cytotechnologist. She received a diploma from the Pan American Cancer Cytology Society as a Cytologist Screener in 1960. She worked as a nurse in the Mayer Clinic in Miami for 36 years. Born October 31, 1926 in Avon Park, Florida she traveled many places in her lifetime. From the Philippines, Hawaii and China in the 1940's after WWII, to England, Ireland and Scotland in the 1980's. Skippy returned to Hawaii in the 1970's with her square-dancing group. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald G. Englebright; she is survived by four children, Diann Burgess and husband Joe of Advance, Peggy DuFresne of Miami, FL, Richard Englebright and wife Terry of Ocala, FL and Susan Henry and husband Jay Abramson of Ocala, FL; seven grandchildren, W. Joe Burgess and wife Jodi of Winston-Salem, Michelle Burgess Perkin and husband John of Concord, Hallie DuFresne of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Kristy Englebright Taylor and husband Stephen of Ocala, FL, Richard Englebright, Jr. of Orlando, FL, Jonathan Richard Ellis of Los Angeles, CA and Russell Henry of Ocala, FL; seven great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters; their spouses and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Bermuda Village Chapel.
