KERNERSVILLE-Frances Mae Gildow Miller, 92, passed away Tuesday, March
24, 2015 at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. She was born June 3, 1922 in IA to the late Ross and Mabel Gildow.

Frances graduated from Guilford College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later received her Master's Degree from UNCG. She taught at Southern Pilgrim College, Colfax Elementary and then retired from Northwest Guildford. She attended Kernersville Wesleyan church and was an avid world traveler and loved teaching children.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Mark Miller; two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 72 years, Gordon Miller; son, Larry Miller and wife, Pauletta; daughter in-law, Bonnie Golden and husband, Irv; grandchildren, Kevin (Darla) Miller, Karen (Doug) Fowler, Jonathan (Kathy) Miller, Jason (Amy) Miller; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Everett (Osaka) Gildow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church with Dr. Keith Carroll, Pastor Nate Kingsbury and Rev. Jonathan Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Southern Wesleyan University Singers or Gordon Miller Scholarship Fund, PO Box 1020, Central, SC 29630.
