That same year, he began a long and dedicated career with Piedmont Airlines in Winston-Salem. He served as an operations agent and station manager from 1948 to 1952, and then as an aircraft dispatcher from 1952 until his retirement in 1987 as dispatch supervisor. Frank also pursued his passion for aviation by earning his private pilot license.
Throughout his life, Frank enjoyed a variety of sports, with golf holding a special place in his heart. He continued playing the game he loved well into his later years and proudly achieved five career hole-in-ones. He was a life member of the Winston-Salem Elks Lodge #449 since 1968 and a devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church since 1954.
