Franklin "Frank" Brantley

Mr. Franklin “Frank” Forrest Brantley, 69, a resident of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home. Frank was born on May 13, 1957, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Leland Franklin and Virginia McGee Brantley. He worked for Reynolds Tobacco until his retirement.

Frank was a proud Marine veteran who honorably served his country. He was well loved and respected by many and was fiercely devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Frank enjoyed tinkering and had a gift for fixing just about anything. He was known for his giving heart and willingness to help others.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Sue Davidson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Alice Brantley; children, Brent Taylor (Tami), Becky Taylor, Stephanie Brantley, and Evelyn DeLong (Matthew); grandchildren, John Burchfield, James Burchfield (Lillian), Coleman Taylor, Allyson Taylor, Madison Bodrey, Nora DeLong, and Owen DeLong; three great-granddaughters; brother, David Brantley (Elsie); and niece, Jennifer Brooks (Mat).

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, with Rev. Fred Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Salisbury National Cemetery, 202 Government Road, Salisbury, NC.
