Franklin Cromer

Mr. Franklin Eugene Cromer, 94, was carried in the arms of Jesus to his heavenly home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, February 23, 2019.  He was born July 18, 1924 to the late Claude Cromer and Jeannie Tuttle Cromer.  Mr. Cromer was a quiet, easy going, and giving father.  He was a machinist for Bassick-Sack for 46 years.  Franklin was an avid bowler, winning many trophies and other awards, bowling well into his late 80s. He was also a western enthusiast, collecting posters, movies, and other memorabilia throughout his life.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Cromer is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Georgetta Tuttle Cromer and brother, Wilbur Cromer.  He is survived by his daughter, Linda Fulk (Clyde); three sons: Ronald Cromer (Sharon), Stephen Cromer (Debbie), and Mitch Cromer (Darrell); only sister, Ruby Mae Littlejohn (Tom); ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 27 at Jefferson Christian Church, with Steve Cook, Minister officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Stokes County and to his long-time care giver and dear friend of the family, Joann Stallings.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, P.O.
