Franklin O'Neil Hundley

Mr. Franklin O'Neil Hundley, 85, formerly of Kernersville, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at The Oaks at Forsyth. Frank was born on July 18, 1931 to Theodore Albert and Sallie Mae Harris Hundley in Draper, NC. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served the Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict. He loved to ""tinker"" in his garage, to mow and to work in his yard. He loved old cars and motorcycles. Frank enjoyed driving trucks while employed with McLean and Roadway trucking companies. He was an active member of Oaklawn Baptist Church for many years. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Bernice Hundley. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Betty R. Hundley; two sons, Mark Hundley (Brigitte) and Stephen Hundley (Phyllis); two daughters, Teresa James (Steve) and Cindy Johnson (Larry); stepchildren, Susan Gladys (John), Barry Albright (Cheri), and Carmen Miller (Jeffery); thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Clay Hundley and Robert Wayne Hundley; and three sisters, Mildred Beyer, Venita O'Connor, Carole Faye Lenihan. A service for Frank will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Renovations Fund at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 3500 Kernersville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
