Fred Augustus Hill

Fred Augustus Hill, 78 of Clemmons, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at his home. Mr. Hill was born February 2, 1932 in Davidson County, a son of the late Percy Lee and Catherine Crotts Hill. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances M. Hill; sister, Belle Lanier; brothers, Norman and Luther Hill. He is survived by his son, Leroy Hill and wife Janie; daughters, Mary Vawter and husband Roger, and Debbie Everhart and husband Rick; grandchildren, David Ivey and wife Susan, and Chris Vawter and wife Teresa; and four great-granddaughters, Faith, Grace, Carley, and Elise; two sisters, Margaret Ashby, and Barbara Hege. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 8, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Garness Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
