Fred A. Thompson, Jr.

Mr. Fred A. Thompson, Jr.,71, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1942 in Forsyth County to Fred A. Thompson, Sr. and Evelyn Allen Thompson. Mr. Thompson retired from R.J. Archer after 37 years of service. Surviving are his wife of the home, Mrs. Tommy Penry Thompson; one daughter, Connie Shoaf (Brian) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Callie and Courtney Shoaf, both of Lexington; one sister, Debbie Bowers (Allen) of King; numerous nieces and one nephew and a beloved dog, Scotty. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Jon White officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
