Freddie Kirkland

Mr. Freddie Kirkland, 69, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.

He was born in Denmark, SC on March 26, 1952 to Vess James Ross and Betty Kirkland.

Freddie was a junior deacon as a child and he attended Voorhees Elementary School. He loved eagles. Freddie had a very laid-back personality and he always enjoyed helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving family includes his wife of 18 years, Shirley York; daughter, Angelia York; son, Brandon Sloan; five granddaughters; cousin, Johnnie May Kirkland; best friend, Dee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
