Frederic Sanford Jodrey

Mr. Frederic Sanford Jodrey II, 90, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Springwood Care Center in Winston-Salem. He was born on April 19, 1922 in Bronx, New York the son of the late Frederic Sanford Jodrey and Pearl Smith Jodrey. Mr. Jodrey was a retired postal carrier and current owner and operator of Jodrey Insurance Agency in Winston-Salem. He was a loving husband, father and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Jodrey was 32 Sec. Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a devoted of member of Pfafftown Christian Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and loved to sing as a soloist. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Frederic Sanford ""Sandy"" Jodrey III and Mark Temple, one sister, Dorothy Beavers and one brother Bev Small. Mr. Jodrey is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Brewer Jodrey, two daughters, April Baxter (Jim) and Pam Cott, two sons, Cris Jodrey and Walter Jodrey and his loving dog, Peaches. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. A memorial service celebrating Mr. Jodrey's life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Pfafftown Christian Church with Rev. Bob Parvin officiating.
