Friedrich "Scott" Key

High Point – Friedrich Scott Key, 71, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born on June 2, 1954, in Germany to Elmer Scott Key and Magdalina Werner Mooberry. Scott was a veteran, who undoubtedly loved his country. He proudly served in both the Army and Army National Guard. Scott was a loving son, brother, and friend who will surely be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Key; a daughter; and a brother, David Key.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Magdalina Mooberry; his father, Elmer Key; two brothers, James Key (Pam), and Michael Key; a sister-in-law, Kathy Key; numerous nieces and nephews, and some close friends.

There are no formal services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Veterans Affairs at https://www.cdceportal.va.gov/donate_online/. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
