Gail Reed Perdue, 84, passed away on April 12, 2026, at her residence in Winston-Salem, NC.

Gail was born on September 8, 1941, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Milton Bailey Reed and Laura Money Reed. Gail earned her high school diploma and worked as a collector at DataMax Collections Agency in Winston-Salem, NC.

She was a faithful member of the Cottage Street Church of Christ in Winston-Salem for many years.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Perdue; daughter, Michelle Perdue; and brother, Maynard Bailey Reed. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Dowell (Michael); son, David Perdue; grandson, Devin Dowell (Kayla); and granddaughter, Salem Dowell.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Jerry Nifong. A burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the funeral home.
